Has anyone learned the real reason for Tom Knight calling it quits?

1. Executives at First Step expected results from former sheriff Tom Knight -- and not undelivered promises.
2. There was no one at First Step to cover for Knight's poor decision-making (and a lot of indecision). He was held accountable.
3. It's a job that requires common sense and quick decisions -- and there was no one present to make those decisions for him.
4. Knight was not qualified for the job and should have never been hired. Political connections got him hired, but reality got him fired -- or an internal forced resignation -- whatever you want to call it.
