Insurance
Who ever wrote that insurance will cover the cost must not realized that BSO is self insured. The money will be coming out the tax payers pocket. But the sheriff seems to return almost 100 million every year to the county if has an ample supply of money. This guy will not learn anything from these experiences. Not sure if FBI or FDLE will ever do anything with him, we are stuck with him.

Benjamin went to prison for escorting Scott Rothstein & his bags of money past security a Ft Lauderdale executive amongst other things.
Tony will settle any case that threatens to depose him under oath or call him to the witness stand. He’s a street smart thug he’s gonna stay one step ahead always

He can’t make that argument because he didn’t suspend or fire any of the people involved in this. By the way suspending and firing people is what is dismantling the sheriffs office and making him look really bad right now. They might want to start by training their detectives they obviously do not know the law.
They do not understand basic civil rights and that just can’t continue to be the case in a large sheriffs office. You can’t do illegal searches and make illegal arrests without probable cause. I wonder how many times this scenario has played out at the Broward Sheriffs office, with an agency of detectives who either don’t knows or just didn’t care about basic civil rights?
