Yeah FMPD sucks. They’ve always sucked. I like how they declined to comment, what a joke of a department and a joke of a Chief. The Sheriff should take their asses over. Where they are supposed to sh!t out 25 deputies will be interesting to see. Between this and the border nonsense we’re doing great managing our personnel. You know what though, if that raise goes through we’ll quit *****ing.

It's very smart of FMPD because by law the Sheriff needs to provide the staffing if they don't. So they are saving money by sticking it to the Sheriff's Office. So now the Sheriff has to spend around 2.5 million for 23 deputies to be moved and hired which FMPD is saving. The sheriff is a dipshit anyway. Cape Coral and FMPD chief hate him.

Maybe he can save money by closing the two outreach centers within city limits.

This is a bad move by LCSO but great for the Sheriffs ego. All district patrols are already low with manpower.

Hey fellow Deputy, It seems that FMPD got the better end of the stick by saving millions of dollars. Our Wonderful ego driven Sheriff who made this dumb decision will not be working the road in a district short staffed. He will be picking up trash in Cape Coral on the news for publicity. Just because we are a larger agency doesn't mean we are a smarter agency.

It wasn't the Sheriff's decision. FMPD decided not to take the schools so it falls to the county per Florida law. If you try to bash someone have the facts to bak it up.

Correct and FMPD is smart. It's an easy way to stay away from the complaints from the parents and save millions for the agency. Besides the Sheriff likes young girls anyway and is a retired pedophile so it's perfect for him.

    Just a start

This is the dumbest thing FMPD can do and the chief doesn't care about Fort Myers as we've seen him apply to other agencies around the country. The city council doesn't care because they want LCSO to take over FMPD and they know this is the first step

    No raises

Honestly think we are getting raises now?
