So all local sheriff departments are raising their pay to $52,000 on start Oct 1. So that hole saying that Carmine was fighting the BOCC to make us the highest-paid was more lies and smoking mirrors. They are bringing us to the same starting levels once again. Anyone making more than $52,000 will receive a one-time increase of 3% with merit of 1%.

Side note. But 10-11 years ago, before Carmine was a sheriff in Lee County, he rode around on beach patrol in Collier. My friends and I were 19-20 at the time. He would regularly stop and flirt with girls on the beach. One day he asked us if we wanted to hop on his beach four-wheeler for pictures. We did. Of course, it seemed cool at the time. But he grabbed my friends and I’s ass and stuck his hand down our bathing suit bottoms in the back. It was completely unwelcome and un-called for. We were disgusted. Sadly, we were too young to understand that we should have reported it. We avoided that beach and went to different ones. And never saw him again!

Jesus Christ you will never be happy. ANY increase in pay is a good thing. Who cares if neighboring departments are paying the same? It means every cop across Southwest Florida wins. I’ve been here five years and in that time I’ve gone from 35k to now with this pay bump almost 55k.
Go to the private sector and see if you’re going to get a 20k raise in that timeframe.

Just some friendly unsolicited advice:
1. Learn and use the proper English/grammar. Take advantage of the spell check. It may help you look more credible vs. the appearance of being a complete uneducated dimwit.
2. If you don’t like the agency, leave. Maybe you’ll be happier at a different agency or in the private sector. Negativity is contagious, enough already.

Majority
The sheriff has the overwhelming majority support of the agency. From your idiotic posts it's obvious this is killing you losers

This agency is split when it comes to supporting the Sheriff. He as said a lot of lies and was caught and has also done some good. It's not his fault if the BOCC refused the starting pay bump, their claiming it's not the right time because of covid.

Where?
Was this said at the county commissioners meeting? Do you have a link so others can hear what was said? I watched the one from last month and did not hear them say this. Yes Mann is against the starting bumb but the others are for it and even said it needs to be done. Thanks for the info. Stay safe.
