So true! I'm just a few years away from retirement and love my job - despite not being brass. Yeah, and there are many of us.

From what I have seen of the whinyest of Deputies, they are where they are because they'd rather blame anyone but themselves for their shizz attitude. Always somebody else's fault. Choose to ignore the petty bs and have a decent outlook, it may lead to good things at work and at home.

I bet you everything I own that you are not taking calls and writing paper. Everyone that “loves this job” have long since left the real front lines long ago. Ask anyone that has work on the street their whole career if they love their job. Brass or not. It about if you are the last buck out here or not.
