someone please call Panera corporate - fraud
ok - next time you walk into that panera bread joint
you grab one of those rewards cards at the front counter right? make your purchase, tuck that card into your wallet
and keep presenting it each time hoping for that little reward, free danish, free soup, right?
Nope,
what Panera has not figured out is that all those cards at front are already pre-registered to an email address and replaced back to the counter
- so by the time you keep presenting that card - someone else is earning your rewards.
Worse - They know your a regular, at the counter they give your phone # and bam/1 - they earn your little soup and sandwich without
even presenting your card.
Why do we care....it starts small babe - racketeering grows up

any gift or reward card that has an exposed number...those cards hanging with revealed numbers ( doesn't matter money added to them yet)
Consumer buys card or takes card unaware it has been preset to an email address
So after consumer takes card and/ or adds $$ at register they are not aware that card number has already been set to an email.
Those cards with a pulloff covered number are obviously safer....but many hang waiting for you to add funds at register .
Activity use, available balance is also monitered this way...for those who never set up their own email to the card and just carry it for use...never know this.
If your gonna use gift cards or rewards cards go to co website first, type in card number, and verify no email has been set to it first before you start .
