    DAS needed for lieutenants

Too many lieutenants sit at their desks doing nothing and leave early most days. It’s time to end this fraud waste and abuse. This is how you get buy in from the troops, Sterling. Accountability for all ranks.

Worry about yourself and not your LT. You have no clue what your LT does and all the added duties for not much more money. Your LT should not be at his desk all day, you also have no clue how many after hour phone calls they may be fielding. Also it’s not like you can see your LTs DAS so how will that benefit you?

Sounds to me this poster is a disgruntled agent or IS2 that got a QAR for going to Home Depot and working from home all morning

Wow you better have your own affairs in order if your gonna throw jabs. You want your Lt to do a das? Ok. Now instead of sitting at their desk they’ll spend their day following you around and micromanaging everything you do. Be careful what you ask for.

Here’s a thought. Spend a day with your Lt. See all the phone calls they field dealing with stupid crap, spending hours in on base reviewing criminal dispositions and site inspections, evidence etc etc. you won’t want anything to do with that job for the extra few thousand a year.

A forensic audit of agent activity showed 10.75 hours a week doing actual verifiable work in the field.
A forensic audit on LT DAS back when LT were required to do them showed 51.33 hours a week doing actual verifiable work in the office and field. You are a trained investigator. Who needs to document their day?

    DAS 4 all LT’s please

If lieutenants actually did as much work as they claim then they wouldn’t have lit this thread on fire with rebuttals. If you Lt’s REALLY work that much then a DAS should be no problem. The agents have long suspected that most of the posters on this forum are lieutenants and the rapid responses anytime that something is posted about the Lt’s seems to indicate that is true. Accountability NOW for all Lt’s.

It was determined years ago the DaS for a LT was counterproductive. There basically in the office all day and let the captain know where they are and why when in the field. If the captain needs a DAS to account for their LT that captain should be fired.

This was the past, now the future of ABT is one of efficiency and accountability. Lieutenants must start to do a DAS. Evolve and adapt or step off, the choice is yours. The heydays of the lazy Lieutenant are over.
