Why are FED inmates housed on C-Wing with only 1 exterior fence beyond the rec wall? Oh that right there’s actually no completely fenced in area after the C-Wing rec wall. If the idiot knew the area he could’ve made it to 49th without getting cut up at all. Its’s sad when Bob doesn't even know the layout of his own jail.

It's the captain's and colonel's job to know the areas and take the appropriate security precautions, which they failed to do.
It's the rec tower deputy's job to maintain visual surveillance of the inmates in the rec yard at all times. No exceptions. He failed to do that.
It's the rec tower deputy's job to use the weapons issue to him to engage inmates attempting to escape, which he failed to do.
It's the perimeter deputy's job to respond ASAP to the area in question if there is an attempted escape in progress, which he failed to do.
Several people failed to do their jobs during this incident and it all goes back to gross incompetence. They tolerate it because it is rampant among the jail brass so they protect their own.

Obviously you don't work there.
Check out the video. The electrical conduit was installed by maintenance on the inner recreation yard wall more recently when the original emergency door rusted out. It was an incredibly stupid design but the jail brass approved it and so it remained.
The jail brass was informed numerous times that the electrical conduit was a security breach because it could enable an inmate to climb out of the recreation yard. The jail brass failed to correct the problem.

Because I and others who were assigned to recreation duty complained to the jail brass about it when the electrical conduit was installed on the inner wall of the C-wing recreation yard. They ignored this breach of security for years. The jail brass is responsible for this fiasco. The question is will they be held responsible?

Mark my words. Pail Carey’s response when asked about the conduit issue by the Sheriff, “This is the first I have heard of it,” is what that (Edited to comply with Terms of Use) will say. So please tell me there is a memo or e-Mail to support your claim. Because that (Edited to comply with Terms of Use) shouldn’t be a sergeant, let alone The Colonel of The Jail. He probably has never even walked through the rec yard in question. But if he did there is video that proves his spineless ass knew. He will lie and wiggle out of it.

The jail brass ignored the electric conduit problem for years so the floor staff quit putting it on the daily inspection lists because they were told to do so.
It was the shift commander's and the captain's job to get that security breach fixed but they ignored it. Everyone knew about it but since nothing ever happened they just went along with it.
Carey never worked the floors so he would know a security breach if he tripped over it and hit him in the face. Still this happened on his watch so he, the captain and the shift commander should be held responsible.Last edited by MOD 1; 06-14-2021 at 03:12 AM.
