It has been made clear by exec leadership that this person is "hands off" and they are valued. They are "needed" because they are "certified" to train in all high liabilities. Exec leadership just doesn't care who it affects, as long as they have some value to them. Being a quality trainer or agent for that matter is not valued by this crew, just being certified to do so is. Same with SRT. As long as you volunteer, you are in... whether you are a turd or not. No legit screening whatsoever.

In the meantime, I suggest you worry about your own house down there and not get so wrapped up by the posers around the state. This one has exec leadership fooled so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. What leadership doesn't realize is that the more they support these posers and frauds, then the more they push the reliable and quality members of the ran-and-file away.

"In reality, any one of us can be deployed anytime, anywhere, with no advance notice.... during a state of emergency."

Theory you are correct. Reality you are not. There are people here for 25 years that have never deployed to anything at anytime. Think about that. 25 years of state declared disasters and not deployed. Truth is if you don't want to go you aren't going.

    Sad but true. Also unfortunate.

    Update:
The PAT has been canceled since the issue Nike boots won't arrive in time.
When everyone gets to the academy the power will be cut to simulate actual conditions.
You will be given a mre each day and water purification tablets.
Be sure to fill your car before you get to the academy since you won't be allowed to leave unless in convoy formation. A full tank will give you a/c to get you through the nights.
Every two hours you will be rousted out of your car and instructed to start the generators.
Your porty potty training will be put to the test.
You will learn to shoot wearing your raincoat.
    Teams will be renamed
    ODA
    ODB
    ODC
    ODD (senior members)
Good luck and bring bug spray. You will be out at night so find a working flashlight.

Training EX 21 or Train Wrex 21?

By now all you ODA members should have packed your car and set your gps coordinates for TR21. Based on my experience of deployments I want to share a few lessons I have learned that will help you.
You will be deployed to what will appear a very foreign and hostile land. Florida is the nation's basement and the panhandle is the cellar that was built on top of the basement. It is wet and humid. And hot. There is no sea breeze and the smell of mildew will prevail. Don't worry. Mildew helps keep the bugs away. The locals will appear unfriendly but nothing to fear. That is just a defensive mechanism to keep the bums and drifters from approaching. There are no clubs or nightlife which is good, since your 16 hour days are meant to mimic an actual deployment. You will be too tired to impress the natives with your hip dance moves.
A few important things. Bacon is a basic food group. Unsweet tea means water and cheese grits are acceptable at any meal. Expect to do a car inspection when you arrive. Nobody cares that your LT thinks the tires have 20k left. A tire tread depth gauge will determine who is right. Don't embarrass yourself with a flashlight that isn't charged or gear that doesn't fit. Your negligence will just make for a longer more stressful day. Pen and pad? Bring a few because you will need them. The pen you had in the car for the last year won't work and the pad under your seat will be covered in sweat drips while you take notes in the mildew laced humidity noted above. Towels? The room towels are the size of wash cloths and you will need extras for sweat. Bring from home. Another tip- stop and pick up a cheap pillow you can leave behind. You won't want to bring it home. Bug spray is a survival tool. Get the big can. Sunscreen is needed. Buy the good stuff so when you sweat, it doesn't run down into your eyes and burn.
I like your odds and use your time to forge friendships that will last. Good luck and Godspeed.

I feel bad for all you people going to the srt training. A week of listening to Jarvis talk about how great he is and trying to compete with the new srt commander. Should be comical

Why would Will be there? They have already had the change of command ceremony. Will has no role.

It’s confirmed he’s going. Ask anyone in tampa. He thinks he’s still in charge and the new commander reports to him, he also feel did he’s not at the training the team will fail.

Please print the new policy for him. I suspect he hasn't read it. The CoC is clear. No Will. No Role.
