Greener Grass
This question is to those who left other agencies to join VCSO... was it worth it, or knowing what you know now, would you have stayed at your previous agency?

It’s one of the best career decisions I have made in my opinion. I feel we have an outstanding Sheriff who has banned an obese blogger who carries himself out to be a two bit reporter. The Sheriff has fired a deputy who believed in police brutality style tactics. He also terminated a subpar deputy who had a gossip mouth and was transferred for lack of performance. A former disgraced supervisor forced to resign because of his incompetence. And, I truly love looking up a criminal sexual stalker and seeing his DL is still suspended for non-payments of child support. Hopefully, Alvin will go through that metal detector one day because we all know he likes a thrill up his leg and he’s mentally ill himself.

Well as we saw last week, these deputies know that they work for a sheriff that will defend them tooth and nail when they have been wronged. The only deputies (or should I say former deputies) that don't like him are the ones that were fired or quit because Chitwood doesn't put up with any B.S. out of his deputies.
