More like we already have the funding. How about get rid of these BS sworn units where deputies do no policing and put them back on patrol! Starting with the mid shift we desperately need. So far, all they did is create mid shift supervisory positions. Typical move. More chiefs and even less Indians to solve any problem. We would have the staffing we need, we would have the mid shift we need, plus patrol may just become, not only tolerable, but maybe morale would increase and become enjoyable. Outside the box thinking for such a supposed progressive agency that still manages and deployed its front line workers via archaic methods. The old “if you don’t like it, quit!” Has backfired. People are in fact quitting and people not even applying anymore, so maybe it’s time to make conditions physically and MENTALLY better for ALL of us that remain. Not just the special ones hidden far from the front lines. Crazy concept huh? Your move HCSO. Once all is grunts quit, you special ones, office jockeys, bosses, leaders, brass, commanders, big wigs, politicians in deputy uniforms, executive staff, and whoever... Might just have to hit them streets you guys have long since forgotten about.
