So because he has supposedly “gone through so much” that makes it okay for him to put his life at risk and others even more? He acted like a fool holding his gun while holstered, ramming a overturned vehicle, standing in crossfire, and playing with handcuffs watching the real cops do there job. He should be reprimanded at minimum. Dude is a clown.

You could only hope that on the day you make a less than perfect decision, that it is on the six o'clock news and people are standing in line to throw rocks at you.

Lol...... poor thing went “condition black.” He had such horrible tunnel vision, he didn’t even see the second subject climbing out of the vehicle. He didn’t even have his gun out holding on both the first subject on the ground and the vehicle until someone else could cuff him or relieve him. Step aside Troopers, let us locals deal with the high liability incidents. Go back to directing traffic in Quincy with Melissa Oman and pretending you guys are para-military compared to the BRC recruits at Pat Thomas! All that discipline in the hallways just to blackout on a pursuit. The real troopers are the interdiction guys up north. These South Florida guys/girls are security guards with guns. Even Pines and Wilton Manors are more reliable.......

Solution
The real reason these gentlemen went into vapor lock is because FHP only has hired retirees from the Navy, 22 year olds that couldn’t make the cut else where and basically pussies in the last 15 years at least. Plus the troopers now a days know that FHP is just looking for one thing on that camera to see if you screw up in a chase or any situation. And then they will not cover you with any of their crap 60000 dollar a year lawyers. Trust me I have been a member of this organization for over 20 years, they will throw you under the bus in a hot minute. And always remember “ you can never burn out if your not on fire”… 😎

Yes, the Trooper's actions were not good and he probably should reasses and learn from his mistakes. But, being 49 for 30 yrs, like many, we have stories of cops running from the action..ha, at least he showed up, but definitely needs to have some training...
NOT drawing his weapon can't be explained away.
Stay safe cops!
