Pinellas sergeant improperly removed 5,000 rounds of ammo for personal use

This is called theft. People get fired for theft, especially theft of this size. it's not like he walked off the range with a few rounds left in his pocket. He stole a wheelbarrow full of ammo. For sale or for personal use, it does not matter. Maybe he lied about his real intent. Thieves are liars too. Theft is theft. If he had any character and ethics he would have resigned immediately. If Sheriff Gualtieri had any character and ethics he would have fired him.

Sgt. Meathead (former sergeant now) struck again! What an embarrassment to the agency and Bob's administration. One of his pets stole thousands of dollars of ammo but only gets a demotion. IAD is a fraud. Bob is a fraud. The political damage is done.
Is Dep. Meathead being transferred to Property Crimes? Will he be promoted back to Sgt. before his probation is over?
Stay tuned and watch carefully boys and girls.
One thing is for sure: some poor sap who worked his butt off and kept his record clean will get passed over so Meathead can get his stripes back. Pathetic and disgraceful.

Looks like the Public is not buying this decision not to charge theft in this case? Quite honestly, converting Agency ammo for personal use in another State, certainly seems criminal. Think Sheriff needs to really explain how this isn't theft and not at least a SAO Invest? Puzzling?

Well the honest cops also want to know how a guy can take thousands of rounds of ammo, which is well over 300.00 and only get a demotion. You think every one is stupid enough to believe that he didn't have other intentions? He told a believable LIE. A guy commits a felony and gets bumped back to patrol, a guy who commits a traffic misdemeanor gets fired.

All the crowing and complaining about that lazy and cowardly MC but not much outrage about Bingham who committed a felony and got a slap on the wrist when he should have been fired and prosecuted.
This is why Bob has zero credibility when he talks about personal responsibility and accountability. It's all lies and BS.
