Hit and Run Crash by staff member?

Information arose concerning the involvement of a staff member in a hit and run crash while in use of a city of Miami police vehicle. This is of great matter and it’s completely wrong, unethical and criminal. Other members are also now involved, who collaborated in executing ways to cover up the incident. City hall is aware and doors are being shaken. Our new chief quickly stated on a radio interview that approximately 10 of those who were involved, will definitely be looking at termination. Chief has also been looking at the horrendous criminal cover up which staff members and motors squad officers and investigators participated in which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist which plunged to his death off the rickenbacker causeway, after allegedly being chased by marked city of Miami police vehicles. Multiple members were involved and interviewed and all collaborated with same false testimonies of the occurrence. Internal Affairs supervisors assisted in the cover up which also involved the so called trouble maker Captain who has racked countless of law suits and excessive force complaints. It is the duty for our Chief Acevedo to act right by our citizens and law abiding members. Chief Colina was forced to look the other way and not fire the Captain and those in Internal Affairs who failed to abide to our departments core value and mission statement. Chief Acevedo, you were placed here by God and by those of us members who for years in this profession and department, have done right and treated all persons with dignity and respect. You have an obligation to remove these persons who have been a cancer to our image and professional organization. We have notified the state attorney’s office, city hall and FDLE and we have all placed our faith in you and your new future appointed staff.

Any other regular officer would of been ROD on the spot for committing the same as she did. Totally unacceptable!!! Why the special treatment and unethical preferences? We must and shall stop these special treatments for certain individuals. Test answers, accommodations in elite units and rank positions to girlfriends and wives. There is discrimination to those who come to work every day and are not part of the special cliques.

You lie you die! Dear chief Acevedo, please do not tarnish your image now by covering up for your deputy chief’s wife’s unethical actions. If she lied, she then must go bye bye. We will not tolerate unethical nor immoral behavior in this elite organization. You must take action and lead from in front as you have stated several times. This is your chance now to prove you are truthful and you will treat all members the same across the board. As you will find out, other members in this department are no longer wearing this uniform because they were terminated for doing exactly the same as what she has been recently accused of doing. Dear Chief Acevedo, act accordingly and do not do not deviate from the truth. There are many members investing in your savior efforts to rectify this organization which was in a downward steer. DOJ and the FBI will definitely be made aware of this situation. Hispanics and the colored community is keeping a close eye on you. Do not disappoint us and if you are planning to deviate from your responsibilities, then please pack your bags and head out to the west coast once again. We love you chief and thank you for representing us Cubans.

And what did Colina do? Nothing! He knew what was going on. Yet what did he do recommend Papier to become Chief upon his retirement.

Why did his mistress get demoted????? Chief look into that?? And yet she was sent to the best specialized felony apprehension unit without an interview process. No supervision, coming in and out when ever she wants making great over time. Rod her.

We love and respect this department and we have total confidence in our newly appointed chief of police Acevedo. He was given this position and instructed to clean this department of evil malicious treatment of our citizens. There are hundreds of officers who have worked the road for countless of years and have interacted with all types of situations and temperaments of persons in crisis, and these officers manage to stay in control and never use any type of force. Why then do we have those selected few such as Captain and those other that continued to hide behind their badges and ranks and abuse the public without any punishments to them?? This needs to stop! We ask for total reform and accountability.

Outstanding interview on the radio where you made it very clear that abusive, corrupt and lazy officers will be fired. Some of us were wrong in jumping to conclusions about you. We congratulate you for publicly taking such a strong leadership position and decision. You made your position very clear and it also includes dishonest staff members. As the new JEFE of MPD you don't need anyone close to you who has baggage, especially issues of immorality, cronyism, and nepotism.

We hope you will stand up and support the good honest COPS and get them the raises which they truly deserve. The men and women who wear our badge honestly with pride and integrity deserve the support os a Chief of Police like you.

Chief there's 75 new sgts on the list waiting to get promoted , we don't need to keep any supervisor that previously had any control, untruthfulness or abusive treatment there's no need for that plenty of people waiting , chief clean house and go down in history as the chief that clean the miami police department , terminate all of them and let them appeal which will take years . the fop won't provide lawyers so they will have to do it on their own , very respectfully , you lie you die
