Yes, the governor was keeping a distance when Carmine first started because of all the criminal acts and investigations he was able to get away with. The governor is starting to come around because the sheriff is growing up and doing better. The governor has no issues with Carmine he is just keeping a safe distance just incase.

It's smart on the governor. The last thing he would want is to back someone with so many skeletons and criminal investigations just to have him removed from office. Its amazing how other officers over the years were fired and charged from so many different agency's for the same thing Carmine did. Well he leads by example.

It's sad to see today's great leaders, trend setters, and politicians getting criticized doing great things. The more I see former disgruntled employees and current slugs criticize the sheriff the more I see how they dislike him because he does what's right and just for LCSO and the community. Just remember the silent majority doesn't go around spouting our opinion but turn out in droves for the elections.
