    Serious PRT question

It seems these guys are always hanging out somewhere in groups talking and having a great time for extended periods on tax payers money. Why isn’t it addressed that this unit is out of control and needs to either have a culture change or be disbanded. Now knowing the kind of officers which makes up that unit I’m fully aware that the high school minded responses are going to flood this thread, but seriously looking forward to the legit answers.

Only ones that are going to argue with you are the people in the unit. Everyone else agrees with you.

Poor supervision. Officers, regardless of unit, will always congregate if allowed. No one is supervising them.

Is hanging out in front of restaurants and bars trying to pick up girls on duty priority calls??? So if your all outside your turned off cars chatting how much time is wasted on a priority call like an active shooter if you guys have to now walk to your cars, open them, turn on the engine, then drive slowly out of a crowded parking lot versus being on the road ready to respond to said priority call like it was intended when PRT was created???

They only respond to priority calls .... doesn’t mean they are first on scene or have a special job..... it was a political stunt of Gimenez and JP to say they came up with something “NEW” in response to a couple active shooter incidents around the country .... interestingly enough, whenever a police mistake was made, has nothing to do with officers being too far from the incident, or being “stuck” on a call....

This new mayor will eventually 07 these useless idiots unit. She has the department under a microscope and I’ve heard from sources close to her Priority Response Team is tracking on her radar in a bad way.
