Colonel Z was the smartest guy in the room. He had the integrity to resign the highest paying job he ever had in his life once he realized Tony was engaged in criminal activity. Colonel Z is a good man and military officer and is the only one in this corrupt command staff that will be remembered for having honor and standing up to Tony & quitting. You will never see Colonel Z write an Op-Ed in a news paper supporting Tony.

Getting rid of Tony will just be the start of our agencies healing process, we also need to get rid of all the corrupt people he promoted and magic wanded. To leave his promotions in place would be a disservice to the people of Broward County.
It would be like Biden becoming President and leaving all of Trumps people in place. It would never happen, the people of Broward will understand when Tony is arrested that his upper command needs to be removed also to rid the agency of corruption and make the BSO more accountable to its citizens.

I don’t know everything and I don’t pretend to know everything. But I do know through life experience when the local paper goes after a political figure this aggressively it’s game over. It means there is nobody powerful enough to stop it and the tide has turned against you. Once that happens they are coming for you. A smart swimmer will get out of the water right now before the ocean takes you.

Look what happens when deputies actually stand up and stick together. 2015 we kick out a corrupt union (PBA) and get our own. We finally get a group of reps who actually told Israel on speaker phone to go “F” himself. Then in 2018, all deputies stuck together again and assisted in getting rid of Israel. 2019, deputies stuck together again when numerous deputies suffered injuries in training which later resulted in the ex undersheriff taping an illegal investigation against the union. 2020 comes and multiple deputies, Sgt’s and Lt’s testify how BSO did not protect us from COVID. This has resulted in another spanking of the sheriff in the courts for retaliation. What’s next? We stand together and welcome the next sheriff very soon
