    The United States of America

If this story is true, this activity goes against the principles our original founders wrote into our Constitution. It is even more troublesome if juveniles were targeted because of bad grades.

The Board of Education has already stated that SROs will no longer have access to grades and disciplinary files....so that will clip the wings of at least some of the program.

Access to grades and students discipline

I believe SRO’s can no longer access grades or school discipline. If this is true, Amen. How many successful people made mistakes as youngsters? This policy may have been established for good intentions at first, especially with a SRO that truly wants to help kids, but the policy could easily be abused. Just can’t understand how any command staff or county attorney would approve such a violation of confidentiality and possible constitutional rights.

ILP is a proven program with proven results. MISTAKES... Just asked the victims of the South Florida school that was shot up or Sandy Hook or Columbine. I will bet some of this could have been stopped. History is what predicts behavior. When something like this happens again they will say "where were the cops, how come they let it get to this". This model is practiced with FDLE, Parole and Probation, State ATF, and numerous other state agencies. History predicts behavior.
