Fox news asked for a sit down with a ranking member of the agency for a story and investigation. He said yes but he wants to get his retirement set up incase his name gets out. Finally someone with character in this agency. He said he was disgusted with what has happened in the last week. Sir, we all are.

And by the grace of God he will get the opportunity to argue that point in court, and we aren’t having to attend his funeral or the funeral of a brother/sister officer or a innocent civilian driving that night. But make no mistake, there most certainly was probable cause for his arrest, which is a violation of (at least one) department policy.
The break he gets should be being placed on administrative leave, while it is investigated.
If the corruption was so horrible this would be very simple to see and deal with.

Is he really back at work? I don’t want to see him fired, but demoted and at least some discipline. If he is back then that is totally condoning his actions. Drinking with the sheriff or not, something should be done. Deal swiftly and move on. We are a great agency.

Pinellas SO has a policy that is strictly enforced that if you are arrested for DUI and blow .08 or higher, or refuse to blow it is an immediate termination. No questions asked. There is no investigation or anything. You are either fired that night or the next morning.

Not here. Just say you got a bobo on your head after being a jerk to the deputy then refuse to take the breath test to show that you are way over the legal limit and Carmine will have your back.
