The current staffing plan requiring 24 years on to get the full weekend on days is nothing more than a ploy to get us to take the 7/7. As a Chief, RC should be ashamed of himself for offering a plan that will cause more injuries, more divorces, more excessive COP’s and more accidents. There is a reason why the department of labor requires OT after 40. Its not to make you money. It’s to keep the bosses in check.

The chief is banking on the new hires to fall for the 7/7 and later on when we figure it out that it sucks. He can say, “oh well. You guys took it”

The latest assignment to DB by the First Lady was no coincidence. The fix is in.

Making people work in this environment twice the Department of Labors standards and waving a carrot to the new hire saying take the 7/7 or you will not have a weekend off until you get on the DROP is pathetic. However, if this is something that the Chief (it’s his idea not the City) then let’s wait till Contract Negotiations and get something in return?
