Reading comprehension is hard, bud. You got one of the 4 groups listed. That’s 25%! You’re doing great.

25% is likely about all the effort you put in at being a patrolman. We know that candy ain’t gonna crush itself behind Publix now is it?

The length some of you f*cksticks will go to defend these a*sclowns is pathetic.

While I am not trying to let Duracell off the hook, CCIB was an inside job, years in making, orchestrated by the Michelin Man (AL) with the help of the Real Estate Man (KP) and Chucky (MS). Look at who was left behind (MS) and who replaced who (AL, KP, SG) and you will figure out what happened. The only people that don’t have blood on their hands in the new Bullshit Unit are the three new Lt (CM, RR, SS). Hey Sheriff, why don’t you look at your two new star Sgts timesheets? I didn’t know we get paid overtime to sell houses and coach softball while on duty? If you care so much about ODs why don’t you take them home? It looks like you can afford it. You drive around in a damn Maserati. You are so concerned with ODs that at no point whatsoever did you stop and asked why half of your deputies voted for Spike. Good job. You are going to do an amazing job in Tallahassee.

    You're wrong

PP is as solid as they come. This guy is one of the hardest working guys around here who cares about doing the right thing no matter what. Not to mention, has the integrity that can shadow almost anyone around him. Don't believe it if you want. But you're probably the guy sitting under a tree not doing a thing.

You can be popular, or be the guy that expects people to do their job. If you think different, you're probably the other guy.

PP was great when I worked with him years ago. The few times I have run into him from place to place he has always been upbeat and positive about everything. I don't even understand these accusations..,..... Sure sounds like sour grapes to me. Probably all coming from the people who resigned!

Self-reflect and look where you are. Pathetic.

    Truth hurts

Funny how the world turns. How anyone at the agency can be next on the chopping block. Those who are standing up for PP have never really worked “for” him and don’t know the true story about him.

PP is a nice guy. Hands down, nice guy and always has been. However he cracks under pressure when it comes to law enforcement. He is not a leader in law enforcement and never will be. No CPT wanted to supervise him and no one who truly worked for him wanted to continue working for him. He becomes angry and yells at his people for his own faults and lack of guidance. The only reason he is still employed at SCSO is because the former undersheriff “his protector” called back and asked DL to keep him employed. PP has no business being a Lieutenant or in any supervision at the agency. Finally DL got it right by putting him in Fleet. JB will keep him in line and PP will retire from that assignment. Managing cars will be a true testament to his abilities in law enforcement.

Now for the issues with CCIB... funny how everyone can talk crap about DP, even the former CPT of CCIB, SG and nothing happens to them. Yet when the guys who are busting their butts to get the drugs off the streets get tired of not having the ability to work drugs/wires and have to focus on the OD only, it becomes problematic. They supported the opioid task force and everything DL wants to do. However it’s not just about his glory and the task force that is going no where. And when they say the same things everyone else is saying, DP gets his feelings hurt. Sometimes the truth hurts as leaders. DL made the decision to support DP and LT as “his guys” no matter the cost of his deputies. Does anyone else see the problem.

All the Other big agencies are laughing at SCSO and DL thinking he will be the one to provide the role model task force on how to solve OD’s. One big joke in the state. DL is being laughed at by other LEA heads. SG has done nothing with the Task force and will do nothing for CCIB. Never has and was only there because of being the former sheriffs roommate.

CCIB is no longer the Premier unit to be in. Like the rest of the agency, it’s fallen. DP made sure of it and DL did not and does not have the guts to standup and do the right thing or fire DP. Who’s really the sheriff?

Anyone and Everyone can be on the chopping block at some point. It’s just a matter of time. Look at RF, up and comer who has now moved sideways and not up?? MC no longer Chief of staff??? Look what they did to MH and others who left the agency.

No one leading anyone and now the SWAT team is really done. MP is a true snake and if anyone thinks he will lead any team into a high risk incident and be successful, then you truly have no experience in this line of work. MP is great at tech and throwing people under the bus to further his career or stay in the good graces of DP and DL. He truly is a snake in the grass and will do anything to further his career and stay in the good graces of DP and DL.

In closing, those who will comment on this writer being a loser, pathetic or whatever, take a hard look in the mirror. You have not gone anywhere in life and continue to give away yourself, your family and soul to the SCSO.

DL will not win next time. The DEM’s are already working on it after they saw the numbers Spike received even after his sorry campaign. Thank god he didn’t become our sheriff. However DL and the rest of the CPT’s and above need to go.

Only 3 guys on dive that have been there more than 5 years, and I doubt any would have anything bad to say about PP.

    It keeps getting better

Can someone explain as to why there is a new policy advising off duty is now at a maximum of 4 jobs per pay period.

It's very frustrating when people need the extra money and the salary isn't enough. Are they trying to run everyone off?
