And who hires and promotes these people? The brass who is too lazy and incompetent to do their own jobs let alone supervise others on how to do theirs. That's what you get when promotions are based on nepotism and politics rather than on merit. Reform of the promotional system is way overdue.

it's all about how many humans you can control. these people are not concerned with leadership lol, they're addicted to "power" that's why these old dinosaurs can't stay retired.

This place cares more about optics than doing the job. But it’s not just here it’s all over law enforcement. The media cares more about vilifying cops than trying to help them. The least lack of discretion and you will be fired or maliciously prosecuted. It’s a sad state of affairs but it is what it is. You either deal with it or choose another career path. I would suggest you choose another career path. Good luck
