    It’s official we are done

It’s official. It is no longer a planning exercise. It is in the budget right on the governors website that we are reclassifying to non sworn. Everyone will be non sworn except:

    2 captains
    11 Lieutenants
    30 Agents

The new sworn enforcement branch will operate independently from the ISII non sworn branch. THIS IS HAPPENING PEOPLE, this is no longer an exercise, feel free to look it up on the Florida budget website accessible from the governors page.

How will it work for lieutenants, promotion date (senior by time in position) or original hire date?

Go to date you were promoted so if you get promoted on Wednesday and have five years less than the guy got promoted on Friday you have seniority

Basically go by the alpha list. Agents the last 35 hired will be IS2. For LT the last 7 promoted are IS2. For captain it’s a different class so they can pick and choose who they want.

However. People can turn it down. For example if both jacksonville LTs are safe, they may move one to margate. If he declines then they go down the list and the next lt is safe etc etc.

For those that are left it will be a good time. We will get nicer cars, and will focus on pure law enforcement not surveys possession or inspections. It will be mainly sale without etc etc
