Forget everything else. Forget the legal points. Forget the ethical points. Forget the corner cutting. Forget all of that stuff. Why would anyone keep EH around after he demonstrated his delight in destroying people? No one should take pleasure in doing that to one of their employees, or their families. Not the kind of pleasure and kick and sport that EH made it into. Here he championed his "ethics" code and was the most unethical leader one could hope to avoid. He made things a personal conquest and took pleasure in hurting people and bendi g the rules to accommodate himself. Must be a democrat! Out on his ass for that alone!

PBA approval for a self-demotion? PBA has nothing to with the approval of anything, they are a bargaining unit and not an approval board. The Sheriff can take their opinion under advisement. Demotion is covered in HR rules and it was most likely approved by the Sheriff. Since the command staff ranks are technically Lieutenants with a modified rank designation, the lowest he can self demote to is Lt. unless it's discipline related like we saw with a previous Captain and two other Lt's from before. I think it is fair to say that EH and SA or not very well liked. The three members of the command staff that went from the sgt rank to their rank above Lt CAN be demoted or self demote back to sgt but they cannot to Lt since they never officially held that rank.

Every profession has many people like this and yet we have a few. EH and SA. Not only will they take the time to make an employee's life miserable but they have the ability to do that to a citizen because of their job and position. If you want an angle to explore, examine that, not the internal. The rats are slowly being driven out, our new sheriff is the piped pipper and he's playing their tune, give him some time and the rats will jump off the cliff on their own.

Allday shift can't stand him. He tells himself it's because it's lonely at the top, but in actuality, no one trusts him and can't do an ounce of work for fear he will do them over the least unintentional violation. Allday: you are hated, feared because of bad leadership, and should retire so we can have a breath of fresh air. You are an awful supervisor, pisspoor leader, and only the ladies of old cervantes are scared of you.

If the file that exists outlining Gilmore’s lack of action, regarding a high profile missing person case comes out, yes he’s got problems. Quinata and Jackson jumped in and took out the holder of the file. My advice to the holder would be to take it to the media.

Is that the case stimmel got blamed for and booted from investigations. He was a scape goat in that one. He didn't do anything wrong but a low level little turd had to get flushed down the toilet so the big turd didn't get wiped away.

The “holder” would be the person who has the file. Yes this is the one that Stimmel took the fall for.
