Shifts
Hello All,
What are the shifts like at Pinellas? 8, 10 or 12 hours? Also how many a week. I know some or most agencies do the 12 hour shifts with 1 week being 5 shifts and the following being 2.
Appreciate the input!

Other shifts have diferent schedules but in patrol it is:
It's an A and B Schedule. Days off are in parenthesis
Monday Tuesday (Wednesday Thursday) Friday Saturday Sunday.
(Monday Tuesday) Wednesday Thursday (Friday Saturday sunday)
OT is baked into the check with the extra hours.

Shifts are 7 AM to 7 PM for days and vice-versa for nights.

Pinellas is the most densely populated county in the state, has a wide margin of ages, and large metropolitan areas. Yes it is busy but there are slow nights where you can be proactive. It depends on the squad you work.
Also, you are better off calling HR about this than posting on here and getting answers from the Non-LEOs and people who come here to talk crap/complain.

What’s the process to get on K9 or a proactive unit?

How does assignment to shifts work? Ideally I'd like to work nights but curious how often shift bid happens.
