At least 13 cops from eight states attended the riot and are under investigation for their alleged roles in the unrest including a police chief. Many former cops joined the mob, too; a retired Oakland officer who rioted told local media that the insurrectionists would accept the legal consequences of their actions if “the Democrats who committed fraud take the criminal charges of treason.” A former North Miami Beach officer even livestreamed from inside the Capitol, telling his viewers, “The people give the power. And we’re here to take it back.”

What’s your point. BLM marches were attended by state attorney prosecutors, public defenders, actors, pro athletes, and police officers as well.
If the people whom you identify are directly responsible for the tragic deaths of anyone or if are identified for being personally responsible for property damage or physical harm but if not then they are just as much participants and not liable just like all the other folks who participated in rallies and marches. It’s just an easy and biased narrative for radicals to push. We have first amendment rights as well and are not robots.

I see a lot of my LEO brothers trying to say the siege on our capital was OK because BLM’s protests are worse.
Don’t we know the law? Don’t we know they are both wrong?
Don’t we know that disrupting the operations of a business or a government meeting is against the law?
Don’t we know that it doesn’t matter if you are left or right the law is the law? What happened to you my brothers?
Peace.

Your first amendment rights don’t protect you from breaking into a government building and trying to attack elected officials hiding from the crazies. The crowd shouted “hang Mike Pence”. They erected a noose and gallows on the lawn in front of the Capitol. A police officer was killed. These are criminals. If you support them you’re not a cop. You don’t protect the weak. You support a man who wants to subvert the will of the people.
As a cop, I have a personal problem with cop killers.

Are you serious. Disrupted business? I’ll give you that even in a literal sense, it opened and continued 6 hours later. When the police station in Seattle was burned, it closed, when the hundreds of business were burned and looted they closed and have still not re-opened.
What state or agency fo you work for? Lol
They burned a church as well as a federal building.
