    Where Was FHP???

FHP Claims to be the premier statewide law enforcement agency in Florida. Where was the "Elite" on Saturday night? From what I am reading and hearing there were officers from 8 different agencies that responded to assist the FWC officer who needed help. FWC, Polk County SO, Osceola County SO, Highlands SO, Lakeland PD, Auburndale PD, Winter Haven PD, and Lake Wales PD. Seems to me that out of those 8 agencies that 6 of them left their jurisdictions to help. FHP having statewide jurisdiction could have responded and been in their jurisdiction.

Why didn't FHP respond to help a fellow State Law Enforcement Officer who desperately needed help? Too good? Don't say too busy. I don't care what you are doing, you drop whatever you are doing when a call like this comes in and respond to help a fellow officer. These fellow officers from surrounding agencies did so, even from other counties.

Remember Pulse? The first officers inside the club while Mateen was still shooting were from Orlando, Belle Isle, and Eatonville. The Eatonville Officers actually rescued several victims who were bleeding out. The truth is that the Florida Highway Patrol sent zero resources in response to the worst terror attack on American soil since 9/11-which was occurring in downtown Orlando, Florida.

FHP did a great job blocking Orange Avenue beginning the next day though. Looked great on CNN and every other network blocking that road like a champion.

FHP Dispatchers DIDNT Rely what was happening at Pulse to FHP Troopers. FHP Troopers had no idea what was going on because their communication center didn't tell them.

Why are we replying back to this idiot? Don't give him no answer. If he wants any answers then he can contact Tallahassee. This person is just a miserable low life who obviously has been stroked plenty of times. Trooper wannabe

Dispatch did notify the shift commander, a Lt. The Lt choose not to inform troopers or or advise ORCC to dispatch a trooper.

The original poster is a moron. FHP offered the greatest help that they could. They stayed the hell out of the way...

Didn’t even hear this till the news put it out. Aren’t trained to leave the black top. State is on different radio towers (prob are falling down) resulting in the radios not working inside any businesses. The “elite” are Highway Patrol covering traffic stops, crashes, and DUI. That IS IT and it will never change. Milking since 1939. FHP is not and will not ever be a real law enforcement agency.

No detectives, no forensics, no position numbers, and lastly once the state works FHP into overturning the billion dollar debt we won’t be missed. Locals (PD, SO) cover all the holding calls anyway.

“Someone punched you?” Let me call the local jurisdiction we can’t handle those.

We are still hiring.. Starting pay with no step plan at $41k Now come join us!!!!!!!!!

Truth of the matter is, no one cares about what you privates think. Your opinions are worthless and don't affect FHP at all. Run for governor and then try to disband the patrol. Let's see how that goes

Now, go back to your sugary drink and doughnuts on that 911 hangup.
