Back in the mid 1980's, Swat or SRT or The hot Cuban guys club
would be stationed and worked uniform patrol out of the Midwest District and these boys would never
handle a call beyond a 25 call citing that their entire squad had to be
available for the next big SWAT call-out. But when a great overtime gig came, these guys were permitted
to adjust their regular work schedule, do the OT detail and go back to work and do shit.
I knew we should of had voted for the Teamsters and kick-out the PBA...

Read your contract. OT is NOT based on seniority. It’s based on selection. Off-duty is based on seniority.

You are what’s wrong in this Departmern....check the contract. Gtfo so it’s ok for one person to max out overtime week in and week out but others only get 8 or 16 hours. How about 30 hours across the board theirs so much money that theirs no reason to be such a **** about it. What goes around comes around.
