West still has a set guy. East intel still wears whatever he wants. They were moved for “manpower” even though they all worked mid shifts and helped each shift 2 days out of a week working their 4 day schedules.

Are they reassigning them to to Community out Reach Centers. This place is really turning to crap. We can make arrest, we are short handed, no overtime so the money can be spent opening the outreach centers so we can pay for the rent, electric and salaries to run them. The Intel deputies in the district are proven to work. Again this is what happens when the Sheriff as no idea what he is doing. At least put someone in charge under you that can make this agency better not an attorney. Hell even the old Undersheriff that committed the 21C was better then the new one.

I am happy to see the department go in the direction they are lately. They are not promoting old disgruntled bitter men who think they should get promoted just because of tenure. Those Scott days seem far behind us. It would be nice to put people in positions that are actually going to be around for awhile. Say what you want about Millennials and Gen Z’ers but they will be running this country soon enough and those who invest and assist in preparing them, get it.

“They will be running this country soon enough...”

Millennials are in their thirties and forties. When do you think “running things” starts.

This place is all about who you know. Even with the younger people coming in. Everyone here is out for themselves and no one else. You have deputies asking for back up and only one or two people show. The lack of support and short leash restraining what deputies can do is dwindling the motivation to work or even help each other. Someone is going to get hurt on a call no just because of low manpower, but because the majority of people are second guessing themselves on every call worried about getting written up or fired for doing their jobs. Every week there is a new policy update further restricting deputies abilities just so the agency looks good.
