I will caution anybody that desires to be promoted, you better be pretty squared away and well rounded. You can say what you want about Bob, but he has zero tolerance for incompetence and sub par abilities. You can't do anything about the political favoritism that happens around here, if Bob wants something done, your going to have to do it, whether you think its right or not. If you can't do this, turn down the promotion, loyalty is expected really from any boss or CEO.
Halle, Simovich and Steffen squared away?! The only things they know how to square away is their bank accounts. The rest of the old geezers know how to kiss the butts of those above them in order to get promoted and maintain their cushy jobs. That's how promotions are handed out based on politics not merit. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive or parrots the company line to make the process seem fair.

When dealing with fools one must always say what they want to hear. These two are perfect examples of fools, but not as big as the fool whom they serve.

Would you download a cell phone in order to protect a member of the top brass. Thus violating and circumventing a warrant. Then act like it didn’t happen. Would that be something you would do whether you think it’s right or wrong. Would you interfere in a criminal investigation by entering into a dwelling to retrieve property and then lie about it.

Loyalty goes both ways, like a sheriff is supposed to treat all his subordinates equally according to the GO's he signed off on. This includes promotions, appointments and transfers. Unfortunately Gualtieri does not follow his own rules which are allegedly in compliance with DOL regulations against discrimination. Yet he claims he runs the fairest and most transparent agency in Florida.

Of course bosses and CEO expect loyalty. Wouldn’t you? I guess the people who post on here think they would promote people who hate them and disagree with them at every turn and would stab them in the back every chance they get. Yep. That’s how it works in their world. Surround yourself with people who hate you and want to Fk you. They come on here and complain about the favoritism because they are not being promoted because they are lazy and incompetent and call it favoritism. Maybe it’s cause they are lazy and incompetent? Get a fking life!

So how is it that these so called people that hate or disagree with the boss/CEO become identified and who is judging their competency. Of course ‘asshole’ there is favoritism in the real world. But just remember one thing some of these so called promotions or transfers have gone down in flames. Just wait more shake up and movement is coming after the first of the year. Will you be running interference on this site for Bob to defend and justify his picks. Don’t try and silence the masses.

There will be a major shakeup after DS and GS finally retire. The infighting, backstabbing and butt kissing will reach new heights as the major players jockey for position and Bob's approval. Then it will trickle down to the lesser players. Get the popcorn ready and be ready to laugh at the inevitable disappointed players who though they had their promotions in the bag but didn't have enough political clout. As for the people who do honest work and deserve to be promoted, nothing will change, they are still scr*wed.

These recycled double dippers and many other dinosaurs need to go so younger people who have waited can move up.
You sound like an inept sergeant who is a legend in your own mind. Maybe you haven’t been promoted because you’re an F’n moron.

More like a corrupt and inept Sheriff who is a legend in his own mind, surrounded by self-centered morons. Maybe I haven't been promoted because he is a F'n moron too.

When you get passed over and over for a promotion while politically connected people get promoted you get bitter, angry and less productive. All this can be remedied by a level playing field so everyone has an equal chance at promotions based on their own work records.
