Let's hope it happens. What really irritates me is that it takes a miracle around here to get promoted to Lieutenant unless you are buddies with these guys or with Bob, or at least pretend to be. Bob's three stooges have stayed well past their expiration dates because Bob wanted to get potential political opponents out of the way by buying them off. These recycled double dippers and many other dinosaurs need to go so younger people who have waited can move up.

A lot of truth here. Retaining and holding on to upper management positions has the trickle down effect of holding up a lot of promotions down the chain. If you believe that experience counts, and a well rounded and competent person should be groomed so to speak, so he can perform well, when given the opportunity, then your right. I will caution anybody that desires to be promoted, you better be pretty squared away and well rounded. You can say what you want about Bob, but he has zero tolerance for incompetence and sub par abilities. You can't do anything about the political favoritism that happens around here, if Bob wants something done, your going to have to do it, whether you think its right or not. If you can't do this, turn down the promotion, loyalty is expected really from any boss or CEO.
