Everything these days is just a way to hook up your friends and family. I mean, Shiver? A common criminal. No one is motivated by a desire to actually do the right thing. Shit, no one is even motivated to do the job they’re expected to do. It’s like pulling teeth. What do we have going for us at least is that the PBA has good attorneys and connections to good attorneys (even though they’ve basically screwed people out of a defense in a few cases).
Bottom line, in law enforcement, you need a union. You need that legal protection.
