    Normal ops

What’s the consensus? Are we back to normal to stay or are we getting a new schedule with 14 days notice any second now?

New schedule and no more take home cars.

You malcontents were warned. Now you will feel the wrath.

Not happening. They learned how inefficient a schedule was and having two agents on a squad was not going to accomplish anything.

You mean someone realized that just dropping a schedule on everybody without conferring with people who've actually been here for awhile wasn't a good idea? Shocking. Anybody who's been here for a while could have poked about a dozen holes through that schedule.

They can preach accountability all they want, but they should have gone about it differently. A hardline schedule is not the way to go. Put it on the lieutenants and let them run their squads. If you want more night coverage just say so. If they can't make it happen then you hold them accountable.

Imagine that! Let the district lt adjust the s bridle to meet the needs of the workload. For one my district is slammed with college nights Monday and Tuesday but Sundays is a ghost town everywhere. Also how can you get anything done other than inspections with a. Squad of two people.

Again, you let the LT dictate the schedule to the needs of the office. One size does not fit all. You got to trust your people. These guys don't and that's fine.

So how long will this before we’re put back on a schedule?

Well let's see. Work 8-5 or the more pre covid schedule of 9-3:30, avoid weekends and nights and you will really hate the new sched. Spend more time scheduling off duty than investigations and 14 day notice will have new meaning.

The union had a schedule negotiation meeting in December. My bet is they meet about the schedule we were just on, and 14 days after that meeting we go back to the 8:30-5 /2:30-11 rotation
