Hey all ,

I’ve been in the process of applying to HCSO and I was wondering how long it typically takes to hear back after your file is in review. I know the academy is in February but I was just curious. Thank you.

Back in the day I got called after waiting only a few weeks and was sworn in. I had prior experience and a good record. I found HCSO enjoyable compared to my previous department. I enjoyed my time and liked most of the people I worked with. It is not perfect but better than most. The size of the agency helps in if you want to move around to other jobs you can when available. Yes there is favoritism for some and hell for those on the shht end of the stick. i spent my time pretty much the way i wanted and avoided those that cried and whined. I got my pension and deferred comp and i am happy and proud. Good luck with your decision and i hope you get on quickly.
