Well, we left the PBA a while back because the PBA did nothing for us. We were unhappy with our representatives. Captain Biardi Was useless.
Well, who is out representative today? Captain Biardi again. Sure we got a raise we came back to the PBA but that had more to do with the fact that we were losing so many officers. And, what has happened since that? Absolutely nothing! And, Captain Biardi is as useless today as he was in years past.
Think of it. If he is our spokesman people will believe that we are all the same back wood ingrates that Biardi is. The Cops are playing is for our dues money and nothing else.
There has to be an organization that caters only to corrections officers.
But, Captain Biardi is not for the rank and file working officers. He is a Captain- think about it. He is brass. He is the administration.

You are stuck in a dead-end job making only $40,000 per year. Only you can better yourself. Don't depend on useless so-called unions to protect you. Go get back to school and get a better paying job in the private sector. Until then, stop complaining.

Biardi is in bed with the DOC management so do not expect anything positive to get done. The PBA screwed up big time. Never elect anyone with a rank above sergeant to any union positions. Remember it's us against them.

Biardi wouldn’t qualify to be a bag boy in piggy wiggly. But he is our voice? That goes to prove how off based PBA is.

The only thing that matters to the PBA or FOP is collecting as much money as they can in dues from the members to keep their cushy jobs. Aside from than both "unions" are in bed with the management and the politicians. What you see are theatrics to lead you to believe they are on your side. This is Florida not NY or CA where the unions have real bargaining power and are able to protect their members. Your union dues are wasted money down here.
