    Who has your personal information?

Do you not realize that all of your personal information has possibly been taken during this data breach? Most licensees should be concerned due to their social security numbers floating around. But it is DBPR employees who had job applications with scores of personal info on file that should be the most concerned. Has DBPR offered to pay for credit monitoring services yet for you current and us former employees? If they have not then I would suggest you do so on your own dime as a precautionary measure. Has your union become involved with this yet? This breach is beyond anything that Ken Lawson has had to deal with.

    Retired and very concerned

Our union can’t even negotiate a schedule; you think they can get involved in a major data breach? I mean maybe if those who brea he’d our data send us their jacket size we get them a really nice winter coat. That’s about it.

Lord, I've really been real stressed, down and out, losing ground
Although I am black and proud, problems got me pessimistic
Brothers and sisters keep messin' up, why does it have to be so damn tuff?
I don't know where I can go to let these ghosts out of my skull
My grandma past my brother's gone, I never at once felt so alone
I know you're supposed to be my steering wheel, not just my spare tire
(Home!) But Lord, I ask you
(Home!) to be my guiding force and truth
(Home!) For some strange reason it had to be
(Home!) he guided me to Tennessee

(Home!) Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan
Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan

Lord it's obvious we got a relationship
Talkin' to each other every night and day
    Although you're superior over me
We talk to each other in a friendship way
Then outta nowhere you tell me to break
Outta the country and into more country
    Past Dyesburg and Ripley
Where the ghost of childhood haunts me
Walk the roads my forefathers walked
Climb the trees my forefathers hung from
Ask those trees for all their wisdom
They tell me my ears are so young (Home)
Go back, from whence you came (Home)
My family tree, my family name (Home)
For some strange reason it had to be (Home)
He guided me to Tennessee (Home)

(Home!) Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan
Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan

Now I see the importance of history
Why my people be in the mess that they be
Many journeys to freedom made in vain
By brothers on the corner playin' ghetto games
I ask you, Lord why you enlightened me
Without the enlightenment of all my folks
He said, cuz I set myself on a quest for truth
And he was there to quench my thirst
    But I am still thirsty
The Lord allowed me to drink some more
He said what I am searching for are
The answers to all which are in front of me
The ultimate truth started to get blurry
For some strange reason it had to be
It was all a dream about Tennessee

(Home!) Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan
Take me to another place, take me to another land
Make me forget all that hurts me, let me understand your plan
Oh, won't you let me, won't you help me
won't you help me understand your plan
Take me home, take me home, home, take me to another place
Take me home, take me home, home

They were more focused on messing your personal lives up than securing the data systems. Terrible leadership exposed once again.

Report: Former DBPR head Halsey Beshears was on Matt Gaetz party plane to Bahamas

What caught the eyes of investigators is a trip to the Bahamas said to have been arranged by a marijuana entrepreneur.

Halsey Beshears, the former head of the state's Department of Business and Professional Regulation and a seven-year state House member from Jefferson County, is the third Florida Republican caught up in a federal sex trafficking investigation.

The New York Times reported Friday that the widening probe that stems from irregularities in the Seminole County Tax Collector's office has placed Beshears on a plane that sources say was used for a trip to the Bahamas that included GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz and former Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg.

What caught the eyes of investigators is a trip to the Bahamas in late 2018 or early 2019, said to have been arranged by a marijuana entrepreneur.

The Times report cites sources familiar with the probe saying the plane carrying the participants returned to Florida, where it was stopped by immigration authorities. Beshears was among those on board, according to reports. It isn't clear why authorities stopped the plane.

Beshears served in Florida House same time as Gaetz

Beshears, scion of a Jefferson County farming family, was elected to the Florida House in 2012, two years after Gaetz's first term, on what he called a conservative common sense platform.

A succession of House Speakers tapped the two advocates of fewer regulations and lower taxes to chair committees. Gaetz was elected to Congress in 2016, and Beshears joined the DeSantis administration two years later.

More: FBI probe touches local lawmaker and lobbyist

Beshears was suspected by some cannabis lobbyists of inserting an amendment into the 2014 medical marijuana law — which Gaetz was the House sponsor — to limit license eligibility to a handful of growers, something he denied.

His family's business, Simpson Nurseries, would team up with Hackney Nurseries to create Trulieve, a marijuana dispensing company created by Kim Rivers.

Rivers' husband, J.T. Burnette, is awaiting trial on charges related to a pay-to-play scandal involving former Tallahassee City Commissioner Scott Maddox. Trulieve has not been publicly linked to the Burnette and Maddox case, which was brought after a long undercover FBI investigation.

Beshears has other links to Gaetz as well.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that when Pirozzolo applied to Gov. Ron DeSantis for a position with the Orlando International Airport Authority, he used Beshears and Gaetz as references.

After his election in 2018, DeSantis appointed Beshears head of DBPR. Beshears later led what was called a "deregathon," leading to the removal of regulations and licensing requirements for dozens of professions in the 2019 and 2020 sessions.

Beshears stepped down in January, citing health reasons.

And in 2018, when the Florida Education Association handed him a failing grade for his votes on education issues, Beshears dismissed the labor union, saying its opinion didn't matter to him.

"I care about what teachers think," Beshears said at the time. "My wife is a teacher; my sister-in-law is a teacher. Their opinion is what matters to me, not some scorecard."
