    I know of two deputies who are in patrol, but started out in jail. It will take you more than two years to get transferred out into patrol. If you are okay being in jail for 4-5 years then go for it.

    Also......those fantastic people in HR, most of them started out as inmates and worked their way up

    The mat room is more comfortable and private but only available to the CRT team and supervisors for "special" training. The broom closest are for the floor peons who have less than 30 minutes in between checks so no foreplay. In patrol it's the clubs and the convenience stores, all depending on your looks and how much money you are willing to shell out. Forget about the hot chicks at work unless you are lieutenant or above.
