Real reason - layoffs
Does anyone else feel they just want to cut enforcement by a certain amount of positions but don’t want to look bad cutting law enforcement jobs so there just going to make life unbearable until the number of people they’re abt to cut quit, and then it will just go back to how it was?

I think it's more likely that they were told to cut the budget. Leadership could have taken the easy way and just followed the fiscal portal plan, which eliminated 18 people and closed 3 offices-West Palm, Ft Pierce and Pensacola. Instead they sent forth a plan that documents accountability and shows actions and purpose that is relevant and has value. No matter what the circumstances this job is different than the job you got accustomed to. It won't be the same and I really think for those willing to do their very best, it will be better. Plus there is a new dual climate jacket in your future. What other plain clothes regulatory agency can say they are getting new jackets? None.

Don’t forget to fill up on your way into the office. You get off work late now and off duty carry isn’t permitted. So filling up your wife’s minivan at night may be unsafe now.
