Ask Bob and he will tell you again - No! He says it makes us look too paramilitary and scares the public. Like the jack offs who complained about police intimidation at the St. Pete polling location. That was the final nail in the coffin of the vest issue.

Hopefully bob will leave for higher office soon. Maybe we can start to salvage the agency then.

Thanks for bringing this up again. I was just chillin with my civilian friends and they were telling me the pics I post on my socials are not “tactical” enough. We then started searching pictures on Google and we came across some guys wearing tac vests. They looked so badass!!! They immediately told me that if I posted pictures in a similar vest they would like ALL of my photos and even share them with others. We NEED vests now!!

Better if he left for lower office like a ceremonial post with Morgan & Morgan where he really belongs. Bob is cut from the same cloth as Charlie Crist.

What about helmets? Can we get tactical helmets to go with the rifle plate vests?

We need ARs in 6.5 Creedmore, not that wimpy 5.56 garbage. Effective to 1,000 yards and better stopping power.

Having worn everything from the interceptor, to the SPC in the Marine Corps in iraq and afghanistan with full rifle plates on front back and sides...f*@$ that. No one who has seriously worn rifle rated plates for long periods would argue this point. Im with you on outer vests, but there is zero need for rifle rated plates for anything other than entries and maybe some of the soecialised units that go looking for it.

I 100% support the outer vests. If he is going to cave into the mob on cameras, then give us something in return and let us look "scary" as you dinosaurs say. The big bad scary militarized cop with his big scary vest. Nothing to be afraid of. I'm on film 24/7.
