    The Florida Constitution ref ex felons

    "Under Florida’s constitution, ex-felons are unable to hold public office until receiving a pardon or successfully appealing to the state’s clemency board to have their rights restored."

    He's not a felon ........ and you're referencing outdated law. Florida voters got rid of the whole state clemency board step for felons getting civil rights restored. Under the constitutional amendment adopted two years ago any felon who has completed their sentence and doesn't owe any court costs ****automatically**** has their full civil rights restored.

    The restoration does NOT pertain to running for an elected office. Please update your knowledge before commenting TT

    Other elected officials have been removed after winning elections for prior their arrest history, Tony will be no exception.
