Why do they even need to replace those losers? Palmer and Neely did nothing and only one LTC is needed. If Tony were smart he would hire someone from outside the agency to be the executive director of detention. The position should be filled by an experienced civilian. BSO Detention Department was one of the best in the country. Setting national standards for other to follow. You had to wait up to years sometime to get a job due to the hiring talent and waiting list. A survey was once taken by DLE and it was find that more DOD deputies had a 4 year college degree than Road Patrol with GED’s and High School only. This was done under Navarro and Werder. The reply is still around BSO. We have copies to present. But how things have declined since Israel due to the current Command Staff. That’s where the policy, integrity and structure is set in place. Palmer was horrible and selected due to his Vice President position within the NAACP at the time. Never has the command staff been so unqualified since Israel’s and Temporary Tony tenure. Benjamin is not the answer. She have had multiple domestic partners arguments issues within the jail while on duty. (Swingers Club) the employees have witnessed and know about the episodes to include the Human Resource crew also. They will never respect her and she has no leadership skills. Israel promoted her based on race and votes only nothing more. the employees are not the problem in Detention, it’s no leadership from the Sergeants via Colonel. To much sexual exploitation among the employees going on all levels even while working in the parking lot inside vehicles. The employees know this “Where is the Responsibility and Respect “. BSO need to do a review on all the current command staff and make the necessary changes. Until then the Detention Department will remain the laughing agency it is now around the national. How sad.
