If Bob really believed that he would not have been bowing down to the Democrats' demands. He is scared of Santana. How is this a Democrat demand regarding body cameras. This is global BS involving multiple reasons and incidents. Just remember if I’m told to wear a body camera there will be no breaks for offenders. Then let’s see how people like them. Do you really believe Santana is qualified?? TPD and SPPD are Democrat controlled and the first agencies to test and buy body cams. All this while Bob categorically denied we want or need them, because he trusted us to act professionally. Apparently we are no longer trustworthy or professional enough for Bob.

The question is are we willing to accept LEO background with known corruption or someone with no experience without corruption?

So you are fine with a corrupt sheriff but not so with his opponent who lacks LEO experience but it not corrupt? Big deal that Santana is fat, have you look around SAB, courts or the jail to see how many fatties work here? They are numerous but nobody says anything unless they don't pass the PAT. The higher brass doesn't even take the PAT, they just lie on the paperwork that they completed their PAT and in service training. And everyone who works in the agency including Bob has a taxpayers funded job. Santana had one for 30 years so why wouldn't he want another one?
