That’s because shootings are reported and classified as an “aggravated battery” per TPD, UCR and SAO guidelines. Because shooting someone with a gun, which usually means you want to kill them, is the same as hitting them with a baseball bat in Hillsborough County. Why risk pulling a muscle swinging on somebody when you can empty your stolen AK, SKS or Bryco into them for the same charge? We all have been indoctrinated with the rationale behind charging the lesser offense instead of attempted murder, but it definitely helps fudge those crime numbers. It also doesn’t hurt that almost all of them are black on black and the victims and witnesses aren’t much for cooperating or helping with the investigation in any way.

Heaven forbid you even try to bring a constructive possession case to Warren. He is worthless. During all the riots he wasn't anywhere to be found. Unlike Perotti who was at the scene ready to help. Warren touts all these endorsements but at least five of the people he lists DO NOT support him. We need to get him out. LEO lives depend on it

I don’t think any of us need to be told that Andrew Warren is the wrong guy for State Attorney. Under him Hillsborough County does not have a State Attorney, we have two Public Defender Offices. It’s important that are family, extended family, friends and neighbors know it.
