    WOW! New Contract

Wow! You’re getting a new Contract. That’s really swell.
It’s exactly like the last contract, unenforceable.

Let us review the past. Remember all the problems you had the past few years? A problem of interpretation of certain aspects of the Contract in which Chief Noriega disagreed with your interpretation? Probably not because those problems, in which the Contract stated you were correct, was handled with a Memo of Understanding (MOU). These problems were smoothed over with the assistance of your City FOP Representatives, the result of a short call by Noriega to the State FOP President, a long time close friend of Noriega. Did those FOP Reps. get any special something? You bet they did. Ever hear of overtime, special assignments, work from home, leaving early, on duty Doctor Appointments, and undocumented days off? Of course not, because you were not the ones receiving those benefits.

A case in point of a major Contractual violation not addressed and many are not aware of, the current Sergeants promotional list of which I will proffer a quick explanation.

The Sergeant’s test is announced and within a few days everyone knows who will be number one after testing. Months later the test is given and everyone was correct, their guess for number 1 is spot on. Below is the tested ranking.

    1. Sneaky Pete, having worked the road for approximately two years in his entire police career, manages to blow away all of the competition. He ranks 14 points above the number two guy. Many wonder if he received the test questions prior to testing, check LEO Affairs. Everyone is kinda sure he didn’t, maybe, Oh Well. Management is as Management does they say.

    2. Cripple D, number 2 guy. Sgt. MDPD, Lt. MDFD, prior Military, and much more, his qualifications are extensive. He wasn’t allowed to have the “REAL” test questions, yet placed number 2 without them, only to be passed over, the Ole “I hate you” and 1 in 3 Rule.

    3. Shrek gets the promotion to Sgt. as he is extremely qualified, has instructed at the college and for many Major Departments for years, trained and certified in numerous police specialty fields, college educated, prior military service, too much to list. You could say he is overqualified, could be a Lieutenant easily.

Yet over the next few months he will be placed on the “No Longer in the Club” List. They do not like him anymore, why not? They don’t really say, yet they hate Number 4 even more, what to do (We HATE number 4)? Why they extend his Sergeant probationary period 3 times, for approximately two and a half years, they hate number 4 that much, the contract states only a one year probationary status. They finally demote him citing he is incapable of filling the supervisory position of Sergeant. Guess all those training certificates and real world experience blinded him.

    4. “SJ” they just hate him so much, but no reason given, early on he recognized them for who they really are. So it’s retaliation time, numerous false IA’s that are never sustained, a few complaints of “I don’t like him because he arrested me for a felony” which the Department sustains. He should have been drinking at the Hurricane Party.

    5. ”The Preacher”. He also is placed on the “No Longer in the Club List”. Was President of the FOP for NBVPD, seems he recognized a corrupt management, asked a few questions and “BINGO” non-promotable; he then resigned as the FOP President.

    6. “MoJo”. His poor acting career on U-Tube was his down fall.

Now this “New” contract is basically the same as the old contract, the same people will “enforce it” or we should say “not enforce it”. So why were all these actions taken and some not taken? Why no action from the FOP or the Union Representatives on the Sergeants vacancy? Was a call placed to the State President of the FOP again? We all know why, you will also notice that the qualifications for Sergeant have been adjusted downward in order to include the next recipient of the Sergeant Test Questions. Who will that be?

WHY HAVE A CONTRACT THAT MANAGEMENT AND YOUR REPRESENTATIVES IGNORE?????

Without a contract with any teeth in favor of collective bargaining unit members, everybody is a sitting duck.
Welcome to Florida, a right-to-work State.

Problem is our union is literally in bed with our administration so there are no teeth, the dentures were thrown out too. Union doesn't have to do anything other than reward those in the nice list, which this contract clearly did, as they will not be messed with and accomodated at all costs. Everyone on the naughty list is not in the union so they don't care.

#2 Has more experience then the whole department put together but he catches the brass giving the answers which ultimately cost him his job which he will get back.

#3 Was doing his job but was not corruptible and daddy's babies kept crying because he was actually trying to do things right. He did nothing wrong for himself but had to fall on daddy's sword for daddy's children because they have no clue. He did, but daddy didn't like that.

#4 Also caught daddy's babies doing stupid things but they couldn't hold anything over his head other than not make him. Made mistakes, we all did, but daddy's babies do them daily and they are overlooked.

#5 Hangs out with the step kids so not a team player and that costs him.

Funny how guys that are military veterans all don't like daddy. They see him for who he is. Sadly when you were never a cop and even less, a military veteran, who was fast tracked up and shielded from dirtying his hands with work is not respected by those who have. These guys had to live and work in the dirt so they know those that like to throw it rather than get in there with them.

    Lmaooooo

Where were these so called "Lions" when we had a real chief like Velken. Seems like you guys never came out of your little den. Lmaooooo. Now that we have someone who was never a cop, much less a leader, you guy want to stick your chests out as you gulp down all your hard work. Please. More like roaches wait for the sheeps excrement. What happens when daddy leave and we get a real chief again that doesn't like pedophilia or incest? The little vacuums can try like they do now but there will be none of that. Lol. Sadly the damage here is done and continues. I do thank you fornthe laugh though I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, my stomach is hurting now from laughing so hard. Needed that!

    Does ANYONE Care?

So you have a new contract, good for you. You talked about it, specifics agreed upon, given to your representatives, who presented it to the City for a vote which they accepted, returned for your final vote which you accepted and, VOILA, Good Job, new contract.

This new contract is not much different than the old contract which is common as in most contracts of this type. The problem is you still have the same backstabbers in charge of the contract. When there is a disagreement over any aspect, your representatives are tasked the responsibility of representing you in solving that problem, this is supposed to protect you from retaliation from management. We all know retaliation never occurs in NBV. Also the FOP is supposed to monitor said contract, your problem is they don’t, even when it is brought to their attention they ignore it. Tough on you, that’s what you get when you have brown noses in positions of responsibility who accept special treatment in return for their silence or lack of action.

Case in point, I bring you back to the first post that initiated this thread, the “Sergeant's Test” reread it please for an understanding of the following.

Shrek was demoted from Sergeant, why? Not able to perform as a supervisor? Of course that’s it, two and a half years probation, all his experience and he is unable to perform to the high standards demanded by Nipples for the NBV Police department. Nothing like being evaluated for a supervisory position by people who have no real supervisory experience along with a missing backbone.

The contract mandated a new person be promoted, there wasn’t, why? The first posting explained everything, where is the FOP and its representatives? We know, busy enjoying their special privileges, if you don’t rock the boat you don’t lose the privileges, too bad for the rest of you, what else are they ignoring or holding back from you?

Remember back when you were having a PERC vote on who you wanted representing you in the work force? Remember the FOP was in secret negotiations to do away with your insurance benefits and did, shortly after you chose them? They purposely kept you uninformed to gain your vote, what are they doing, or not doing, now? Why were they not discussing the contract instead of downgrading the insurance for you and your family?

Back to the Sergeant’s position, the “Red Dragon” was recently terminated, it has been over 30 days and the contract mandates the position be filled, but that position remains vacant, refer to the original posting and you will understand why the City ignores the contract vacancy filling clause. The filling clause is the same in the new contract….Right? Don’t worry; I am sure this violation was discussed with a Memorandum of Understanding being agreed to quite some time ago. My belief is that of many others, it happened secretly or not at all but will be typed up now for a CYA, that there were discussions just that you were never informed, your backstabbers will swear to it. You’re next on the list? FU!

Should the Uniform Lieutenant be involved at all? What does he know? Isn’t he a leader? These vacancies affect the function of uniform patrol and the safety of the City’s citizens doesn’t it? Ask him, you can locate him at any eatery because that’s his priority, not the road, his officers, their safety or any other matter having to do with his job as Uniform Lieutenant. When attempting to locate him he arrives late, takes long breaks, longer lunches and leaves early, dedicated and concerned, always.

Upon reading the new contract I noticed that the requirements for sitting for the Sergeant’s test have changed, they have lessened or changed the requirements, who specifically do these changes benefit? You know as well as me. We can all safely guess who will be the next recipient of the test questions prior to the test.

    How’s Morale?
