You can’t do zero on the computer anymore. I was given papers and told to have the people that work for me fill them out and sign them. Most of my squad put a big fat ZERO for BLM and signed them.

United Way posted they support BLM
I will not support a Marxist organization that’s mission is to destroy fathers in all families and openly break the law and calls for revolution against government.
There is no policy that states I must support or I must fill out a card. I’ll wait for an email or someone ordering me to donate or pressure me to give and they will be first person named in the lawsuit.

It’s funny you mention lawsuit. My brother in laws father is one of the attorneys at Judicial Watch. He asked his father to call me. I explained the situation to him and told him that it has been going on for years. He said that there is definitely grounds for filing a suit. I told him that I think that those of us that do not contribute to United Way just want to be left alone. He told me that he will contact a colleague of his that handles those kind of cases and have his firm look into it if I get push back about not contributing. I thanked him for calling and told him that I would be fine if the City just accepted the city workers personal choices about where there money goes.

PBA Remedy?
I’m not bashing them in any way, but just wondering. Is this active attempt, in writing, for a forced donation of our personal money not something the PBA can somehow address with staff? If there was ever a case of “it’s not the money it’s the principle” this is it. Also, why is it so important for the department to track who submits to their demand or who doesn’t? I’m sure the list of non donators makes its way around the 10th floor for review. Why the donation card? Every officer here is issued a computer and most, wait for it, have phones that can access the internet! So when when a captain orders us to login to a web site we should have a radio button to click to refuse/opt out or donate. But, you force us to a site that only has one option and it’s to donate. Not happening. You’ll get the same thing from me that you get every year, goose egg. I swear to God on my kids I would give one of the three bums flying a sign at DM and Kennedy a crisp $100 bill before I submit to a forced donation of one nickel to your Jane Castor/BLM endorsed United Way. The funny thing is that you expect compliance after kicking us in the balls all year in the name of BLM, Saint George Floyd and a chick that rightfully took rounds when she cohabited and furthered a drug dealers criminal enterprise as he shot police officers serving a lawful warrant. Not gonna happen.

Staff is mandated to give a % of pay UW
We should never be asked to give at all especially mandated to fill out a donation card.
We all know who we should give to and we don’t need the United Way to be a middle man and take 25% of our money.
The United Way has made their choice to support in the fundamental changing of America to a socialist agenda. I will charitably give my hard earned money to organizations that support the world view that best fits my foundational convictions.
Guarantee a leftist wouldn’t give their hard earned money to a Bible believing church. Therefore I will not give to a Marxist organization. PERIOD

Tall are up in arms over nothing. And is typical on LEO A, someone puts up inaccurate information and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. UW donations stay local. The Los Angeles UW has nothing to do with the UW Suncoast.
All donations to UW Suncoast stay local the area.

That is an absolutely false statement. A good friend of mine from UF interned there for several summers when she was on summer break. She thought about working there when she graduated but when she found out that the United Way is the largest contributor to Planned Parenthood she looked elsewhere. She was not willing to work for an organization that helps abort and then sell the body parts of innocent children. Every local office contributes some money to the main office. The Suncoast chapter does do some outstanding local work but they still send money to the Head of the Snake.
Something to think about: Why do Democrat’s & BLM support such organizations? PP has aborted 54 million black babies over the last several decades. It appears that they are still doing the work of Margaret Sanger.

Years ago I looked up the person who runs the Tampa chapter, she made over 200K a year.
Give them nothing.

Good reading
Here’s some good reading. It’s the local United Way most recently publicly released IRS documents. It lists how much they take in, how much goes out, and how much their employees make to include their bonuses. I’ll just leave this here...
