Just think about this. Your director has bounced from state agency to agency. The health department is still in disarray from th e actions of our director. Look at licensing, licensing is a complete disaster, some districts don’t even have any staff left - again our director was most recently Chief. Now he’s the director. He’s chased out 3 captains, soon to be 4. The majority of the tallahassee staff. Eventually he’ll be bounced but we’ll be stuck picking up the pieces.

Our deputy director is a law clerk / attorney who has No experience managing people. Prior to being DD he was an admin case unit attorney finding every way to solve a case without going to a hearing.

Well that’s our leadership. But look at our chief, it’s clear you need zero leadership or management experience to be in charge here

How some of you people even survived childbirth is mind-boggling to me! You make yourself sound like a bunch of whiners. We finally get done with this crazy covid-19 detail and you whine about "I don't know what to do now". How about you sit down with your Lieutenant and try to find some constructive things to do in the meantime. I'm sure they won't have all the answers right away but I'm sure they'll be willing to sit down and figure it out. You know what? You may actually have to go out and do some shoulder taps and observations until we get some clear direction. Stop sitting on your a$$ waiting to be told what to do. Be proactive. Use common sense. Use good judgment. Take some ownership and quit pointing the finger at everybody else!

Lastly, the leadership here is actually doing an excellent job considering the cards they were dealt 6 months ago. As have all of the agents. They don't hate law enforcement, they just want to get rid of the dead weight like YOU

OK. Do nothing and work your usual 3.5 hours a day and see what happens (while claiming 8 and whining you don't see your family and need every weekend off)!

You obviously don’t work here and know what we’re dealing with. We weren’t even permitted to give a warning during covid without getting the entire chains approval. That was our argument. We went from 2-10 to 5-1 to 4-12 but what was the point because we weren’t even allowed to give a warning or verbally warn. So what would it have mattered if we did that from noon to 8pm or 4-12. That’s the point. U want us to work 4-12 and do nothing. And if you really work here you can’t say otherwise.

Challenge accepted. 70.53% of those with a beverage license do the right thing. They don't need to be monitored and there are no rarely violations at those places. The remaining premises need us to keep them in line and doing the right thing. It could be an issue of education or it could be criminal intent. When we worked 7am to 2pm we didn't interact with the "outliers" did we? We didn't because the problem locations didn't even open until we had been home or on some stupid 208 for 6 hours. See the issue? Meanwhile back at the ranch, the staff is being asked why. Guess what? There wasn't an acceptable answer. So the issue now is do we continue being relevant and responsible or do we revert to the old ways? With major budget issues on the horizon and a need to show value to all, we have to change what we do and even how we do it. Look, this job isn't for everyone. You have no expectation to stay here. I would like to see half the personnel we currently have, pay those remaining well and focus our efforts into something that benefits our licensee and the citizens of this great state. Don't see it that way? Look a little further down the road. Your view will change.
Do your best to be the best person you can be. Everyone wins.

Once again. For the few times we do come across the “outliers” were told to refer it to the locals or give a notice and move on so what’s the point.
