Some of you are so blind and don’t realize how good you have it. You are literally expected to do nothing at work. How can you say the pay isn’t comparable to other agencies? Have you took in to account your benefits package compared to surrounding agencies? Look at your total compensation in your gems account and you will see what you truly make. Sure, the high paying agencies seem nice, but when you add in healthcare, retirement contribution, dental/vision, vacation days, sick time, comp days and the high stress of working at those departments, you will see that it’s not that bad where you are.

You have more time off than any job or career that you will ever work at. What about reserve days? How much time have they paid you for when you weren’t really there at all? How many times did you fall asleep wondering if you were going to get called in for your reserve day? My guess is probably never because the job is easy and doesn’t require the man power that we have now.

Who cares about the cars?? They’re free and you don’t pay for gas back and forth to work like the rest of the world does.

This job is too easy to complain like you whining children do. You’re all lucky to have a job, because with the current budget cuts, you might not have one tomorrow.

That is really a good post. I try to tell people that. During this time you are lucky to have a job, a lot do not. If you are working now for get about crappy bosses, that will all come out in the wash eventually. Stick with your job here.
