    COPS Unit Positions

Oh, thank god. Whatever would we do without more COPS unit positions. Nevermind the lack of manpower on patrol or in investigations. Lets make sure the almighty Undersheriff gets his people before anyone else. At the rate they're going, they'll have more people than a patrol squad in no time.

Quite crying or quite your job

Florida law enforcement has more *****ing and whining than all other 49 states combined. Grow up or get a new career path. Geez! Supposed to be peacemakers. All you want to cry.

    Cops Unit

Ok, I think most deputies here would agree with the original poster. The fact is you take care of patrol first. It's ridiculous that you have to ask someone to cover to take vacation. We have the money available to pay for deputies. It's not about the federal grant money but the PR and status building by the Colonel. I mean, we don't even have deputies in certain zones. How pissed would you be as a citizen to find out that you pay taxes without patrols in your zone. Dirty secret.

COPS...a "top unit"?. Now that's comedy. They've got a bunch of good guys, but a top unit they are far from. The unit is a wannabe TAC team that lacks experience and leadership. You've got one of the worse supervisors as the Lt. and a Sgt. who bailed last administration when the going got rough, but kissed enough ass and swallowed enough **** to get promoted when he came back. The two of them will sell you out at a drop of a hat if it in any way benefits them.
