No racist statements were made. Are you basing your judgement solely on the color of their skin?

According to Antifa, if two white males square off, then it's a garden variety fight -- but if a black male and a white male square off, then it's a racially motivated incident.

It's incredibly rare for disturbances to occur based on race, but if you believe the MSM, they make it seem like race riots and race fights are happening all the time all of the United States. Have you ever seen someone pick on another person in Sarasota County, based exclusively on the color of their skin? Nope.

    Union still there

Court deputies that did not want to have their pay lowered were forced to return to the patrol division. That's why having a union contract is good i.e. a union contract prevents a sheriff from arbitrarily lowering salaries. A union contract also prevents a sheriff from issuing a guilty verdict against an employee before the case is officially investigated.
Corrections (deputies) still have a union. It was never de-certified. Few ,if any , paying members though.

Make sure you negotiate "a little bit" every year i.e. disciplinary procedures, pay, time off, etc. At the end of 10 or 20 years, it will add up eventually. It's a slow process.

Prior to the dissolution of the law enforcement union, Knight singled-out union leaders with rude and snide comments during unexpected "public challenges." For example, law enforcement deputies would be gathered together for a meeting about XYZ (which is completely unrelated to the union) and Knight would single-out a union leader with a sarcastic "public challenge" about something that was completely unrelated to the meeting. It was weird. Knight has emotional or anger management issues that need to be resolved, possibly with psychotropic medications -- if he is not already using them. Because of ill tempered people like Knight, unions are desperately needed. Unions are not needed when a CEO is honest, level headed and fair. The history of unions is rooted in those kinds of issues. When a king is honest, everybody is happy, but when a king is evil, everyone suffers. Unions help to bring balance.
