The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a
courthouse is this: You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt
Not Commit Adultery," and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of
lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune has historically been the dominant media source, but things are rapidly changing in the internet age. WWSB has a free website that is a lot better than the H-T website -- and the H-T requires payment to read its articles which can be read free elsewhere. Traditional media (and fake news) is dying a painful death as people don't trust it anymore -- and certainly won't pay for it!

Suncoast WWSB is by far the best, but in the old days, the H-T was the best, but the H-T has fallen into second place, due to the internet where everybody copies-and-pastes (or steals) the work of others, without giving credit to the original author. That's not "original journalism." It's copying-and-pasting with a few minor tweaks. For example:

    1. A no name website published a SSO use-of-force incident before all the major news outlets did:
      https://floridapolitics.com/archives...im-to-hospital
      .
    2. A few hours later, Daniela Hurtado at WWSB basically copied and pasted the above article and published it at:
      https://www.mysuncoast.com/2020/09/0...teenager-jail/
      .
    3. The next day, the H-T copied and pasted the above article without giving credit to the original author:
      https://www.heraldtribune.com/story/...er/5730064002/

The internet is changing journalism and is killing traditional "paid-for" print media (like the H-T). The internet is one giant copy-and-paste machine.

That "no name" website is 100% Democratic. It has a DNC spin on every article. While the DNC platform is bad, the website is pretty ingenious on their part to further their political agenda.

We watch My Suncoast WWSB ABC7 and let our son watch this channel as we think it is safe. Just like on the internet, we control what our child watches. My son and I often look for useful resources on the Internet. Yes, it is difficult, but recently we found a website https://studyhippo.com/internet-influence-on-children/ that has become an assistant for my son in his studies while performing various assignments. Through this website, we have recently found an essay about the cause and effect of the internet influence on children. This topic is now very relevant in our lives. There is a lot of content that traumatizes our psyche.

Tampa Tribune. ... I do not like the Herald Tribune or Observer. To me they are worthless and have no real material.

Here are conservative news outlets that will print stories that are banned by the MSM:

Many of us no longer watch or read the MSM because it's filled with misinformation (lies) and opinions. Don't give us your political opinions. That's not the job of the media. The real job is to give viewers the facts -- and then let us make up our own minds.
